Halo: Reach beta plans detailed, beta ends on May 19

The Halo: Reach beta is next week! Bungie is gearing up for all they got cooking and starting tomorrow, actress Aisha Tyler will be giving Halo fans a walkthrough of all that they’ll be experiencing in the beta through Halo 3: ODST.

The beta starts on May 3 and you’ll have access to three playlists at first, which will be 4v4 ranked Team Slayer games, free-for-all and “Grab Bag” playlists. On May 7, the Spartan vs. Elite “Invasion” playlist will get thrown into the mix. Then on May 14, the “Generator Defense” game type will go online.

For those without Gold, don’t worry, Bungie has a weekend set aside for you. From May 14 to May 17, Halo: Reach, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 3 will be free to play online all weekend long in the “Halo Multiplayer Unlock Weekend.” Speaking of free, you’ll also get a Halo: Reach Avatar hoodie for playing a full game of the Reach beta.
