These aren’t the full details we’ve been waiting for, but it’s a decent start. Following the report that director Guillermo del Toro was in talks with a major game company, we now know who’s on the other end of the deal. According to the Los Angeles Times, it’s none other than THQ.
Reportedly, THQ exec Danny Bilson is the guy trying to make this all happen. His name has been all over the news lately in stories about the company’s efforts to expand game licenses to other forms of entertainment, like the Red Faction TV project, so it makes sense.
Having recently watched the teaser trailer for Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, which del Toro is producing and writing, I am feeling super anxious — even more so than usual — to see what his involvement in these mystery games is all about. Please let it be meaningful.
