We’re just over four weeks away from GTA 6‘s official release. Announced years ago, GTA 6 is shaping up to be the biggest game ever made, both in how much it cost to make and how much it stands to make. Slated for a Nov. 19 launch, the game will almost surely break the internet.
And it’s already doing so on social media with a brand new launch trailer. Released by Rockstar on all platforms, the 90-second trailer shows Lucia and Jason engaging in all sorts of nefarious shenanigans, all the while cutting to them doing… extracurricular activities. The focus on sex isn’t too pronounced, but Jason and Lucia’s relationship is definitely made out to be the core of the experience, with their individual actions circling back on them as a couple.

Rockstar also confirmed that French electronic duo Justice were selected to do the original score for the game, alongside Tame Impala, SZA, and others. The score is heavy on the synth to truly encapsulate that ’80s neon vibe we’ve all come to know and love and associate with Miami (Vice City), and by the sound of it, they’re definitely pulling it off. Of course, the score will probably have dozens of performers singing real and tailor-made songs, so we gotta wait for release to tune in with its more than a dozen radio stations.
What I found very intriguing were the heists shown in the trailer. Heists were a staple of GTA 5 and some of my favorite missions in that whole game, and were especially fun to do with friends in GTA Online. While we still don’t know what’s going to happen with Online after GTA 6 drops, the existence of heists in the singleplayer almost definitely confirms they’re going to remain a lucrative activity in whatever the future of Online looks like.
There’s also a strong military vibe in the trailer, with many segments showing kitted-out soldiers performing what appear to be clandestine missions, so I hope we’ll get some proper stealth out of this game, too.
GTA 6 launches on Nov. 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, with PC to come at a later date.
