Great Abandoned Central mine location & directions Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Head to the depths

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s Depths can be extremely confusing and harrowing, especially if you don’t have that many upgrades yet. Even a 10-minute expedition can result in gloom and gloom, and you may not even get anywhere when everything is said and done. To that end, we’ll help you find the Great Abandoned Central Mine without too much trouble!

Map location for the Great Abandoned Central Mine

Here’s a map displaying the location of the Great Abandoned Central Mine.

The first step to finding the Great Abandoned Central Mine is to go down to the Depths below Hyrule Field, through the chasm pictured above. Alternatively, you could go through the Iayusus Lightroot in the Depths if you have the camera quest (where you can follow the statues south to locate the Great Abandoned Central Mine). The precise locations of both entrances can be found on the map above

Note: You do not need to use the statues to locate the mine. They are merely a guide that you can use if you’re getting turned around. If you do become lost, go back to the starting point highlighted in the map above, and work your way back through the statue path.

You can pick up Autobuild here!

What is Autobuild in TotK?

Autobuild is one of the most useful abilities in Tears of the Kingdom, as it allows players to create pre-fabricated tools and structures without having to painstakingly build them bit by bit.

This ability is granted immediately upon entering the Great Abandoned Central Mine, directly preceding a boss fight with Master Kohga: the comedic Yiga Clan foil that’s been present throughout the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom saga (as well as Age of Calamity). This is just one of several encounters with Master Kohga throughout the game, so don’t fret.

To actually utilize Autobuild, all you need to do is follow the short tutorial, which asks you to build a basic vehicle with your Ultrahand ability; which then grants you the Autobuild blueprint to create another one instantly (provided that you have the resources to do so).
