Go ahead and share your Final Fantasy XIV videos online

Nevermind what they said before

It seems there was a bit of a miscommunication from Square Enix’s community team on how they weren’t going to allow players to post gameplay videos of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on YouTube. The initial word was that players were not allowed to monetize gameplay videos. Some were discouraged.

Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida cleared the air during our interview session today at PAX Prime. He said they’ll take that all back now, and that they will now be allowing players to post whatever they’d like. And as for monetizing these videos, that’s fine by them. So make your videos and keep your money.

“We want players out telling the world how great our game is,” Yoshida explained.
