Give thanks! Assault Horizon has its Idolm@ster skins now

Yes! In a time of giving thanks for things, I give thanks to Namco Bandai for answering one Ace Combat fan’s sincere wishes. Assault Horizon finally has its Idolm@ster-themed skins! And to think it was barely two days ago that I was complaining about how boring all the new DLC designs looked. Not anymore, not withthese monstrosities decorating my jet fighter. Whatever else Namco Bandai may be, let it never be said that they aren’t enthusiastic about cross-promotion.

Anyway, the new skins are themed after three idols from 765 Productions, namely Chihaya Kisaragi (the blue F-15), Miki Hoshii (the green Su-27), and Haruka Amami (the red F-22). Each skin pack includes an alternative, monochrome version of the skin. Y’know, for the fan who likes classy, subtle anime women on his planes. They still cost too much money (600 yen/400 MS points each), and there’s no word as to an English release, but I can guarantee that I’ll be first in the figurative line if this DLC turns out to be region-free.

And there’s still room for more, considering that the Idolm@ster core cast consists of thirteen idols!
