Gears of War cog swag points at viral campaign, also, win this thing

We got a mysterious little box at the office today. Plain black and stamped with the familiar red Gears of War logo on the top, I opened it to find this metal cog inside and a small note which read “If found, visit gearsofwar.com/lastday and enter the CSID#” (the other side of the gear has a code inscribed on it). Hmm, could this be a case of viral marketing, by chance? Seems like people have been chatting about it on the GOW community blogs for a little while now.

At any rate, this thing makes a really cool paperweight, but since I’m no Gears fan it’s hardly fair to keep it.
