Gears of War 2 will still hit November 7, if the game’s newly acquired gold status is any indication of release expectation. The announcement comes on the heels of all sorts of exciting TGS related stuff, but Cliff Bleszinski is still excited about his product and subsequent chainsaw-related mayhem.

Check out what Bleszinski say in a statement about going gold:

After two years of pouring our heart and passion into Gears of War 2, the team is immensely happy with what we’ve created. This is Epic’s best work yet, and we can’t wait to see the response from fans and newcomers to the series alike.

I’m fairly certain that Gears 2 will rock, but I have a significant bias when it comes to the color brown and spinning metal things that cut stuff. It’s good to know that the game is finally finished and more importantly, Epic isn’t going to make an excuse for it.
