GameStop bargain prices Nintendo’s FlingSmash at $29.99

According to a GameStop online listing, Nintendo’s clever flinging and smashing game, FlingSmash, will only cost $29.99.

Originally called Span Smasher, the game has players flicking the adorable Zip (or the female Pip in two-player mode) across the screen using the Wii Remote. My hands-on with the game (which requires the Wii MotionPlus for subtle angle movement) gave me the impression of a curious platforming, pinball, and raquetball mash-up.

When contacted, Nintendo was having none of it, and wouldn’t confirm whether or not GameStop’s listing was accurate. Still, you have to imagine that the retailer had to have listed it at a reduced price for some reason.

FlingSmash is scheduled for a summer release.
