Gamefest 2007: XBLA games won’t increase their size, MS convinced this is good

At GameFest 2007, Microsoft has stated that the 150MB memory cap on Xbox Live Arcade games would not increase. Already tripled from the original 50MB limit, there is currently no chance of any larger files appearing on the downloadable games service. Microsoft was quick to say that this was a good thing, stating that it encourages creativity. “It really lets you focus on the innovation,” claimed XBLA co-founder and senior games manager Katie Stone.
 
Personally, I thought it made people focus on trying to squeeze Symphony of the Night down to 150MBs, but to each their own, I suppose.
