Game with the Dtoid Community!
I am pretty damn addicted to Rocket League at the moment (It’s sad that’s the last article about it from us, c’mon guys). Soccer with jet powered cars…. just works. It’s the most insane, competitive fun, that I’ve had in a long time. I do hope some of you will join me on Steam for a match or two. I didn’t think this would be something that I would be interested in at first. Once you get a match under your belt though…. Well, if you have a soul, you’re hooked.
The controls are spot on, graphics are top notch, physics are believable. You can fucking jump and dodge! It’s just a very well put together game. Plus: HATS! I love that my little, purple monster truck has a fireman hat! If you can’t love that, then you can’t love me. Put your pants back on and get the fuck out of this shed in the Home Depot parking lot, that I call home.
Rocket League is available on PS4 and on Steam (Early Access, but solid as fuck). Buy it.
New to FNF? Read this! Each week, a bunch of us Dtoiders get together to play videogames online! It’s a 100% community-run event, so feel free to join in or even host something yourself!
The planning for FNF starts in the forums, where community members sign up to host matches and post their pertinent details (game, time, Gamertag, etc.). Then, every Friday, reminder posts go up in the community blogs thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, and I recap it all here on the front page to give it a bit more exposure.
To join in, simply send a friend request to the match host! If you’d rather host something yourself, sound off in the comments section below!
