Game with the Dtoid Community!
Welcome back to Friday Night Fights! Once again, I am your new God host, Mike Effin Martin.
Looking at the above image, I would not want to be Tony Hawk’s kid? Sheesh. As a parent, I cringe. As a person who loves skateboarding, I love it. I grabbed myself a new plank this week, after years of not riding. Found a nice little Black Label deck, with some Grind Kings and Spitfires for $100. Figures that it starts raining today though. Got my son his first deck as well and I’m excited and nervous to ride with him. On one hand, I really look forward to sharing my greatest passion with my son; but on the other, I am a very protective parent. Going to have to take this slow, for his sake. I don’t want to ruin awesome things by helicopter parenting my kid.
In more game-related and community-based news, I am cooking up a possible contest for you folks. Something that will require you guys to work together and share it with the community. I am also beginning to plan a Mortal Kombat tournament, in anticipation of the new release. Look forward to those in the coming weeks. We are also compiling a list of all the clans you folks play in (here), so that I can begin listing them with these posts. (Please add your clan, if you haven’t already done so.) That’s about all I’ve been up to, besides absolutely loving Darkest Dungeon. That damn game is so good.

New to FNF? Read this! Each week, a bunch of us Dtoiders get together to play videogames online! It’s a 100% community-run event, so feel free to join in or even host something yourself!
The planning for FNF starts in the forums, where community members sign up to host matches and post their pertinent details (game, time, Gamertag, etc.). Then, every Friday, reminder posts go up in the community blogs thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, and I recap it all here on the front page to give it a bit more exposure.
To join in, simply send a friend request to the match host! If you’d rather host something yourself, sound off in the comments section below!
