Fortnite fans name the one classic feature they want to return ‘more than anything’

They disappeared when Chapter 5 began.

Epic Games is always adding new and exciting features to Fortnite, but fans of the game have revealed that it’s actually a forgotten feature that the devs removed that they want to see return the most.

That’s because fans of the game are desperate to see Exotic weapons come back to the island. They were first added to the battle royale back in Chapter 2, but were vaulted at the end of Chapter 4. While there are still some incredible Mythic items like the Thunderbolt of Zeus or the Avatar bending abilities, they don’t quite feel the same.

That’s because Exotic weapons are not new items, but upgraded versions of guns already in the game, just with added abilities and stronger stats. In a post on the official Fortnite subreddit, Kingofcracker wrote: “I can’t be the only one who wants exotics back more than anything? These were my favorite rarity back in the day and they added a nice touch to Battle Royale. Epic, if you see this, please bring them back.”

Unsurprisingly, many users agreed with the statement. One player stated that they wanted an Exotic version of every weapon, while another said that The Dub shotgun and Shadow Tracker pistol were some of their “favorite weapons of all time.”

As for why they’ve disappeared, one Redditor suggested that Epic moving away from hitscan guns is the issue, accusing the developers of ruining “the dream” because they are “too lazy to change all of them into weapons with bullet travel time.” Whether this has any truth to it or not is unknown.

I can definitely relate to the community’s feelings though. Back in Chapter 2, I was deadly with the Dragon’s Breath sniper rifle, and used to pick up the Marksman Six Shooter any time I saw it. Having these enhanced versions of weapons already game was a fun way to mix up the loot pool, and I was personally disappointed when they chose to remove them at the start of this chapter.

As Epic always says though, anything that they put in the vault is not locked away forever, so we can only pray they return to us someday. Hopefully, as soon as Fortnite Season 3, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
