To witness the live event, you need to load the Death Star Sabotage Discover map. What is the Fortnite Star Wars Galactic Battle live event?

The finale Star Wars event focuses on taking the fight straight to Emperor Palpatine in a “live, in-game narrative event,” according to the official patch notes for the Galactic Battle season. Based on the trailer and patch notes, it seems like we’ll be disguising ourselves as Stormtroopers, alongside some allies like Hope and Jones, to sneak into the Death Star and put an end to Palpatine’s schemes.

Where is the Fortnite Star Wars Galactic Battle event?

The Death Star Sabotage live event takes place in a separate Discover map that will likely involve a few different locations, including the Death Star itself. There are two references to the live event on the regular island, so it’s a bit confusing that it doesn’t take place there.

The first reference is a massive countdown clock by the Leia Organa NPC north of Brutal Boxcars you can chat with to complete some story quests. The second is Daigo’s portal, a key storyline element, which was activated on May 16. The Discover island version of the event will likely still appear similar to the regular island, even though it exists separately from it.
