Flappy Bird creator says he’s taking the game down

Creator “cannot take this anymore”

Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen has announced via Twitter that he will be taking the game down some point on Sunday. He has stated that he “cannot take this anymore.”

In subsequent tweets, Nguyen explains that the taking down of Flappy Bird is “not anything related to legal issues” and that he still makes games.

I guess making $50k a day in ad revenue is too much to handle, or perhaps Nguyen is settling down for an early retirement. Either way, looks like there is room for all other Flappy Bird clones.
