The first issue of BioWare and Dark Horse Comic’s Star Wars: The Old Republic comic book series, ‘Threat of Peace’, is available. It’s a basic read that generally addresses the immediate pre-SW: TOR conflict. In it, we learn that the Sith and the Galactic Republic fighting have caused galaxy-wide issues that culminate in a peace treaty talks on Coruscant. Of course, the Sith aren’t actually going to the table to talk.
BioWare will release two comics in the series every month, each crafted in a way that will orient readers with SW: TOR’s universe. We’re told that all the comics will be character-driven — a fact that BioWare took great care to relate every fifteen seconds at the announcement event last year.
One quick, silly observation: The Sith character on the last page is wearing a tangerine jumpsuit. Who knew those things were in vogue thousands of years before the Empire Strikes Back?
