Highlights include Odin and Gilamesh fight
Square Enix has released the preliminary patch notes for Final Fantasy XIV update 2.5, set to arrive this Tuesday, and as always, it’s a massive list. The biggest additions include an all-new storyline, a new Hildibrand questline, Wandererer’s Palace (hard), Amdapor Keep (hard), Keeper of the Lake, an Odin encounter, another fight with Gilgamesh, and the 24-man raid.
There’s also roughly 100 more quality of life additions, like housing options, a better queuing system, and the best addition of all — “the Most Gentlemanly” pose. I’m amazed at how vigilant Square Enix is at making improvements this far down the road.
While I typically provide full reviews for these expansion-like patches, I’ll be covering this one over the course of a few months, since the full 2.5 update is coming in bits and pieces leading into the expansion.
