Final Fantasy VII Remake gets a new key piece of art

Lovely

Some were hoping to hear any semblance of a window for the Final Fantasy VII Remake project during the Final Fantasy 30th anniversary ceremony this morning, but alas, all we got was a piece of art. A cool piece of art, sure, but nothing concrete on how the project is progressing.

Let’s put it this way — they’re confident enough in how things are going to show us new artwork? Yay, I guess? Either way this one is going to be a long wait, especially since it’s coming in episodes. Midgar was fine and all but it was probably my least favorite part of the story, and I’m guessing the first episode will end after the Shinra building, if not before.

So for me, that wait is going to be excruciating.
