Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is something we’ve been looking forward to for a while — initially announced last year, this new title will bring the entirety of the Final Fantasy VII timeline to mobile platforms as a single-player, episodic experience. That’s right, we’re getting the story of the original Final Fantasy VII game, as well as all of its companion titles in one little package, as well as some new story elements surrounding the foundation of SOLDIER, as written by Kazushige Nojima. How fun!

During the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary stream today, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is getting a closed beta sometime this year. The game will be free-to-play with in-game purchases.
