Fan-project brings The Legend of Zelda to the 3rd dimension

Holy induced motion sickness Batman! That was my first thought upon starting up this 3D version of the original The Legend of Zelda. Granted, it didn’t make me sick, only a little dizzy at points, but I know there are plenty of people out there that are more sensitive to first-person experiences like this.

This project is currently a work in progress by TIGSource member Radix. He only has the beginning of the first dungeon done so far, but hopes to eventually “remake the overworld and at least another dungeon or two if not the whole game.” Groovy. Vertigo aside, I’d certainly be willing to give the finished project a try.

If you want to see what a first-person Link adventure could be like, download the demo from here. The controls are pretty simple: move around with the WASD keys, look around with the mouse, left-click attacks, and right click blocks with the shield.
