Some of us keep up with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu around here, and if you do too, you may find their review scores to be of some interest. This list caught my eye over at Kotaku, which shows a list of their highest rated PS3 titles of 2008 (you can see the full list after the jump). Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was sitting pretty on the top of the list with a perfect score of 40, just beating out Grand Theft Auto IV with a 39 and LittleBigPlanet with a 38.
For those of you with a nose for imports, you may also be interested to see Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan! highly rated with a 37, a Sega game which involves real life legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. Political intrigue, historical drama — sounds like just my cup of tea.
