It’s been a week since the launch of TiGames’ excellent bunnyvania F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch. And for those of you who might be struggling on your mission to overthrow the entire government — help is en route. The developer has previewed the first major update for the game, offering new difficulty options alongside a carrot patch of bug fixes.

Expected to arrive on PlayStation platforms in the coming days, Update 1.03 will add a new “Easy” difficulty option, which will dial back on the ferociousness of Legion’s elite military force, The Iron Dogs. The difficulty can be switched and reverted at any point during gameplay, for those of you who are finding F.I.S.T.‘s awesome combat system a little brutal.

Additionally, new save points have been added to several locations, as well as extra Quick Travel points before some major boss battles, allowing our lop-eared pal to return to base and get better equipped for the coming encounter. Several bug fixes take care of an issue where the Mine boss would not spawn, as well as a glitch that locked off the Deeper Complex. For those of you with green paws, Plant Seeds should now also be available for collection in all of their respective hiding places. Several minor bugs have also been stomped.

F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch is a fantastic AA adventure, easily in my Top Three of the entire year. If you want to check it out, then it is available right now on PS4 and PS5, with a PC port to follow at some point in the future.
