Europe getting iOS, Android PlayStation app soon

Recommended Videos

Sony has announced that it will be bringing an official PlayStation app to Androids and iOS devices soon. The catch, for now, is that version 1.0 will only be available in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and The Netherlands. Can you hear me and my American accent cursing over here?

Well, here’s what everyone but North America will get with version 1.0:

  • Check your trophies and friends’ online status
  • “Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.”
  • Get updates from the European PlayStation Blog
  • Bother your friends on Facebook, Twitter, and email about the latest PlayStation products

It’s not much, but it’s definitely a neat little tool for PlayStation fans. How much will this little app run you? Don’t worry, it’ll be free.
