Bandai Namco’s much-loved RPG Elden Ring has received a brand new update this morning, bringing Ray Tracing support to The Lands Between and its epic, far-reaching, and highly hazardous kingdom.

Version 1.09, which is available today on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X platforms, can be activated via the respective options menu. Developer FromSoftware notes that resolution and frame rate may be impacted by switching on the shiny technology. Of course, those Tarnished with a very meaty PC rig will likely be able to ramp up the juice, bringing Elden Ring‘s visuals to life like never before.

In addition to the Ray Tracing update, Version 1.09 includes a fistful of bug stomps, as well as a litany of rebalance tweaks to Elden Ring‘s PvP and Ashes of War features, as well as general tweaks across the game’s weaponry and spells. For full details on these changes to Elden Ring, as well as the recommended specs for Ray Tracing users, be sure to check out the official patch notes over on the Bandai Namco website.

Elden Ring is available now on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox platforms. DLC expansion Shadow of the Erd Tree is currently in development, though a release window has yet to be confirmed.
