El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is one of my most eagerly awaited games of 2011, and Japan has just been confirmed for an April 28 release date. There’s no word for us worthless roundeyes yet, but have some screenshots anyway. Go on, treat yourself.
The latest screens do little to dampen my expectations, looking suitably kickass with that really cool graphical style. I’m digging the art for this game, and when you add that to the obscure Biblical setting and the unique platforming/combat gameplay, I reckon we’ve got a cult hit on our hands.
Here’s hoping localization won’t take long.
