E3: Minecraft announced for Xbox 360 with Kinect support

Recommended Videos

Arguably the most successful game which has yet to actually be finished, the world-building PC title Minecraft is heading to Xbox 360. Coming this fall, the title will be a console exclusive for Microsoft and make use of their Kinect motion control system.

I’m all for Minecraft making its way out to devices beyond the PC but using motion controls in it? That sounds uncomfortable. But so does playing Minecraft with a controller. I have no doubt that the latter will wind up being perfectly acceptable but I’m going to need to see something really compelling on the Kinect front to take that seriously at all.
