Microsoft just ended its conference on a high note. Don Mattrick showed off the new Xbox 360 hardware, and it’s hella shiny. Here’s what the slim 360 is packing: 250 GB hard drive, built-in 802.11n wi-fi, and it’s supposed to be Kinect ready and “whisper quiet.”

How much does this bad boy cost? $299. Also, it’ll be available for purchase this week. In a move that got everyone in the audience to yell like madmen, Mattrick announced Microsoft would be giving this newly designed Xbox 360 to all of the people in attendance for free.  Damn, guys!
