E3 10: Medal of Honor impresses with multiplayer action

Recommended Videos

Set in war-torn Afghanistan, the new Medal of Honor reboot will feature 24-player multiplayer and feature a number of real world locations. During EA’s press conference, 18 players came out and played a Kabul level in the game in real-time. It was rather impressive and everything ran smoothly.

The mode being played at the press conference was called “Team Assault,” and involves teams reaching a predetermined number of points to win. But what else can really be said? It’s a multiplayer FPS set in the Middle East. We have seen many of these in the past. Luckily, Medal of Honor seems to have enough talent and technology behind it to (hopefully) distinguish it from the competition.

Additionally, they revealed the multiplayer beta will go live on June 21st, which is right around the corner!

Medal of Honor will be released for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on October 12th.

What do you think? Are you interested in the return of Medal of Honor? Or do you think it’s trying to be too much like Call of Duty?
