E3 10: Call of Duty: Black Ops shown off

Recommended Videos

Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia, at Microsoft’s E3 2010 press conference, gave a demonstration of Call of Duty: Black Ops. Haters are gonna hate, but I thought it looked quite cool. Very, very much Call of Duty-like, but cool nonetheless.

The demo started off inside a tunnel, complete with mutilated bodies and rats. From there, a fellow soldier was stabbed right before your eyes, and after a quick battle inside the underground, the presentation skipped forward.

“In the interest of time,” everything flashed forward to a new area in which a helicopter had to be taken (by force, of course). Next, there was a scene that looked to be on rails: Lamia shot rockets at nearby villages and bridges, resulting in sheer chaos and plenty of nice-looking explosions.

We’ll hopefully have video of this up on the site soon.
