E3 09: Spore Hero and Spore Hero Arena get some new screens

Recommended Videos

Hey there Dtoiders. It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other on the front page, hasn’t it. Well, the short story is that I’m back from my lengthy absence; and just in time for E3, no less.

So then, what sort of mind-blowing, videogame related news do I have in store for you? Uh, well, there are some new screens for EA’s recently announced Spore spin offs Spore Hero and Spore Hero Arena — for the Wii and DS respectively — in the gallery. There’s also some logo art, so feel free to check that out too. If you’re into logos, and such.

As Nick told us earlier this month, Spore Hero is an action-adventure game that will see players designing a creature and leading it across its planet to avert some sort of cataclysm, whereas Spore Hero Arena will be a world-hopping arena-based fighter. So sort of like a Mike Tyson’s Intergalactic Power Punch with more customization, I guess.
