The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games have been pretty okay by me. They’re at least something different than the normal formula, and I really like being able to take that little peek into the world of wild Pokemon. They totally exploit my weakness for cute creatures working together to help other cute creatures.
But what’s weird about this game is that it seems to be a third addition to last year’s tandem release of Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness. All other Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games have been released in twos. Whether or not Explorers of Sky is just a expansion of the two earlier titles with just a little extra stuffing or has enough extra content to stand out on its own, I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.
