Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen free this week with PS Plus

Guacamelee! on sale

We’ve already been given the full rundown of what software is joining the Instant Game Collection for PlayStation Plus members in North America this month. I was thrilled to see so many nods of approval for Binary Domain, by the way. This week’s game is Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, which will be free for subscribers once the PS Store updates on Tuesday.

For everything it did right — climbing on beasts and repeatedly stabbing them is and will always be good fun — there were enough minor annoyances in Dragon’s Dogma that I didn’t stick with it. I’m still hoping to get back in there, but now that Dark Arisen is so easily accessible, I may as well start over in this expanded game. I have unfinished business with some wolves.

Beyond the PS Plus freebie, there are also some deals coming in with the store update. Most notably, there’s Guacamelee! for $10.49 or $8.39 with a Plus account. This is a Cross-Buy title for PS3 and Vita, too. Highly recommend it, especially if you’ve got a co-op partner lined up.
