Yeeeeah boy! DJ Hero 2 has been confirmed for October, and will feature music from the living pantomime that is Lady Gaga. Activision has revealed that the game will have a new “social” element, featuring not one but two turntables, along with a microphone. GIMMICKRY, HOOOO!

To celebrate the announcement, a mix of Lady GaGa’s “Just Dance” and Deadmau5’s “Ghosts n’ Stuff” has been released on Xbox Live for free.

Of course, the fact that this an Activision game was always confirmation of a sequel, but now we have a rough timeframe for the game’s release. The first DJ Hero didn’t really set the world alight as much as Activision perhaps wanted, so it’ll be interesting to see how the sequel performs. Are you excited for more plastic spinny fun? Let us know.
