Smart Cover has made its return to The Division 2 on the game’s seventh year. It will be automatically unlocked as you progress through the main campaign and will be available in both PvP and PvE modes. Here are the base stats of the skill.

  • Duration: 30 seconds
  • Cooldown: 40 seconds

When active, you’ll deploy a projectile that sticks to a surface, and agents in the radius of its effect will become Reinforced. It comes in two variants: Precision Smart Cover (PCS) and Fortified Smart Cover (FCS), and they differ in their buffs.

There’s a new Exotic to unlock as well in the form of The Catalyst. This mask is tied to completing the Hunter riddles located across the new maps. Here are its in-game effects.

  • Catalysis
  • Dealing and receiving status effects (Burn, Bleed, Shock, EMP/Disrupt, Poison, and Blind/Disorient) builds stacks of Catalysis to a maximum of 12.

  • For each enemy within 15 meters that is affected by a status effect, it grants one stack/sec. Receiving Status Effects grants two stacks/sec. Stacks decay at one stack/sec after 5 seconds if there are no enemies, or you are affected by status effects.
  • Reactant

  • Stabilizer
  • While burning, you can maintain ADS without disruption.
