Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph: A videogame movie done right?

[Update: The Disney website for Wreck-It Ralph features a chance to “wreck” the trailer, and a playable version of Ralph’s game, Fix-it Felix Jr.!]

Disney is no stranger to movies featuring the “secret lives” of original characters, set in worlds inhabited by recognizable icons of their respective genre. Both Roger Rabbit and Toy Story have illustrated this beautifully, but now it’s videogames’ turn.

Wreck-It Ralph hits theaters this November and follows its titular character (a hybrid of Donkey Kong, and George and Lizzie, the characters from Rampage) as he comes to the realization that he just doesn’t want to be a game villain anymore. Watch this trailer for cameos from classic gaming, as well as a who’s who of villains in one scene. I am so excited for this flick; November can’t come soon enough.
