Disney Dreamlight Valley physical edition is download-only for Switch, with randomized posters

Switch owners are Poor Unfortunate Souls

The Disney Dreamlight Valley physical edition called the Cozy Edition was announced Thursday, and Nintendo Switch fans may be dismayed to find out the box only has a digital code in it. The PS4, PS5 and Xbox versions have the disc included, however. On the plus side, the Cozy Edition comes with a bunch of extras, such as an exclusive sticker sheet, and one of six (yes one of six) different double-sided collectible posters. It’s just a shame that it truly isn’t a physical version of the game on all fronts.

Disney fans will be able to pick up the Dreamlight Valley Cozy Edition on October 20, and you can preorder the game now for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, and PS5. It retails for $49.99, and you’ll get the following included in the box:

  • An exclusive sticker sheet that showcases Mickey, Scar, Remy, Stitch, and Scrooge McDuck.
  • 1 of six different double-sided collectible posters.
  • An exclusive Cheshire Cat sweater, inspired by the Alice in Wonderland film.
  • 14,500 Moonstones (an in-game currency that’s worth $50 alone)
  • The Cottage House style (that’s worth $12, according to Video Games Plus)
  • Exclusive raccoon companion skins in yellow, purple, green, and red.

How the Disney Dreamlight Valley physical edition works for digital owners of the game

If you already have Disney Dreamlight Valley digitally, publisher Gameloft confirmed that “you can claim the exclusive digital and physical items included in the Cozy Edition even if you already have the game on console.” You can do this by inserting the disc of the game or the code from the Nintendo Switch version.

Additionally, PC players can buy the Cozy Edition on console, activate the code on those platforms, and then sync the PC account to the console version to redeem these rewards. The game features cross-save functionality so you’re good to go there!
