Destiny 2’s dungeons bring with them many different encounters for your fireteam to complete, and tons of rewards along the way. These tend to vary in usefulness but are still worth scoring if you’re a completionist.
One such dungeon is the Pit of Heresy, introduced as part of the Shadowkeep expansion. This dungeon might be old now, but when it’s the featured dungeon of the week, it’s well worth farming. Here’s the full loot table for the Pit of Heresy dungeon in Destiny 2.
All weapons and armor you can get from the Pit of Heresy in Destiny 2
The Pit of Heresy works differently from many of the other dungeons in the game. For one, three weapons are unobtainable unless certain conditions are met (more on that soon). You can also get any other piece of loot from any encounter instead of farming specific encounters. To start simply, here’s everything you can get with an equal chance from each encounter:
- A Fine Memorial Machine Gun
- Arc Logic Auto Rifle
- Dream Breaker Fusion Rifle
- Every Waking Moment Submachine Gun
- Loud Lullaby Hand Cannon
- Love and Death Grenade Launcher
- Night Terror Sword
- One Small Step Shotgun
- Premonition Pulse Rifle
- Tranquility Sniper Rifle
- Dreambane Helmet, Gauntlets, Chest Armor, Leg Armor, or Class Item
You can acquire three other weapons from the dungeon, but they require a Hymn of Desecration. These can be earned by completing the weekly bounty from Eris on the Moon. Claim the quest and complete the required waves to earn a Hymn of Desecration. These can be used before completing the Necropolis or Chamber of Suffering encounters to get a chance to drop one of the following weapons:
- Apostate Sniper Rifle
- Blasphemer Shotgun
- Heretic Rocket Launcher
Finally, we have the exotic machine gun Xenophage. This doesn’t drop from a specific encounter and instead requires you to do a series of quest steps both in and out of the dungeon. If done correctly, you will 100% acquire the Xenophage when completing the quest. If you’re curious, the Xenophage’s exotic trait causes it to fire singular heavy shots instead of a barrage of bullets like other machine guns. This isn’t super useful these days, but it can still make the Oracles encounter of the Vault of Glass raid a cakewalk.
