Despite the demise of Gamecock, Dungeon Hero — the game in which goblins pee, even if you’re not looking — is still in development.

The folks behind the game, Firefly Studios, recently update its Web site with some non-news on the game. Confirming that the game still “lives,” it said the loss of a publisher has “created a number of challenges,” resulting in Dungeon Hero‘s delay. Despite this, Firefly appear committed to the franchise, saying they’re working on other projects built around the game’s universe.

Regarding who will be publishing the title, we contacted SouthPeak Games, who recently acquired Gamecock.

“In regards to Dungeon Hero, SouthPeak is still in discussion with Firefly,” a representative told us, “and will have more details soon.”

This is good news, as the hack-and-slash action of Dungeon Hero was shaping up nicely, even in its early stages. Plus, it’s the only game we know of that features goblin cheesemakers. Sold.
