Dead Synchronicity is great-looking sci-fi adventure game

Spanish developer Fictiorama is doing well in its Kickstarter campaign

I think it’s fair to say Kickstarter has given point-‘n’-click adventure games a boost, not that the genre really needed it. Dead Synchronicity is a new adventure game from Spanish developer Fictiorama Studios which tells the story of Michael, a man who wakes up in a refugee camp after a cataclysmic event called The Great Wave.

There’s a dark dystopic theme to the game, as the Great Wave has infected people, giving them supernatural powers which the army and authorities are keen to control. Let’s face it, I was already on board by the time they uttered the phrase “dystopic sci-fi adventure game.”

Handily enough, Fictiorama has a demo on its Kickstarter page, which is always a great move; I’m way more likely to put money into a Kickstarter campaign where the game is playable in some form, even if it is an early build. Right now, Fictiorama has already raised $15,000 of its $45,000 goal with 17 days to go. Play the demo, and if you’re a fan of adventure games, then you should really consider backing Dead Synchronicity.
