The Blood Moon event is a special annual event featured in Dead by Daylight. It’s based entirely around blood and the Blood Moon. It’s also the best time of the year to earn and spend precious Bloodpoints.

All Dead By Daylight Blood Moon event gameplay features

The Blood Moon event introduces a few special gameplay features scattered around the map. These features are as follows.

  • Four out of the seven Generators featured in each trial will be replaced with Blood Generators for the duration of this event. To fuel this item, you need to use the two other unique assets present in the event.
  • You can use the Blood Can to collect blood for Blood Generators. Interacting with Blood Pumps grants you this item. Blood Cans leave a leaky trail behind, reduce charges when you run, and make noise, so transporting them carefully and cautiously is essential.
  • Blood Pumps contain blood and slowly regenerate this resource over time. You can interact with one to acquire a Blood Can, then use it to collect blood.

  • The Bloodsense Map can be used to automatically track three objectives, including Generators, Exit Gates, the Hatch, Killer belongings, and the Aura of injured Survivors. It leaves a trail of blood, though, so it can be dangerous.
  • Bloodshot Eyes is a special event offering that rewards you with 100 percent more Bloodpoints for every interaction you perform as part of the Blood Moon event.
  • The Comunity Collective Tracker follows community progress for event goals like repairing and damaging Generators. As players collectively hit five threshold targets, an additional Bloodpoint multiplier is unlocked, with 500 percent being the maximum.
