DayZ Badlands DLC is coming to the base game, and we will have a new map to uncover. This will be the biggest update for the game this year, and we don’t have to wait long to try it out.
Before we can put our foot on the map of Nasdara province, let’s find out when the expansion goes live.
DayZ Badlands DLC release countdown
The Badlands DLC goes live worldwide on Thursday, October 15. The release date and time have been announced in advance by developers Bohemia Interactive, and I’m not expecting any changes this late. The following countdown will expire once the game goes live.
The countdown is based on the following times.

What to expect from DayZ Badlands DLC
Badlands DLC brings desert survival to the popular zombie title as we take our first steps into the Nasdara province. This is a sun-scorched expanse with a lot of sand and cracked soil to test you. Not only will you have to survive the stragglers, but the rugged terrain and scanty resources will make things harder for you.
The new map is 267 square kilometers, with sands on one side and jagged border mountains on the other. This is also a piece of land plagued by geopolitical trouble. Expect to find constant conflicts between the factions that want to seize control. You’ll find historical sites, Middle Eastern-style cities, and crumbling Soviet-era military installations across the map.
While there’s no pre-order available with the DLC, you can wishlist it on Steam to stay on top of the launch.
