Buyers are getting a Founder’s Pack for their support

The frigid Darwin Project has some novel ideas for battle royale, but it’s tough to make a name for yourself in such a fiercely competitive genre. Today’s news should help. The survival-centric multiplayer game has gone free-to-play on Xbox One, much like the current Steam Early Access version.

Folks who bought into Darwin Project at its former $14.99 price point will receive a Founder’s Pack with the following cosmetic items: “two legendary sets each containing shirt, pants, armor, helmet, and boots, three legendary axes, three legendary bows, a full jumpsuit collection, and 10 fan gifts to further stock up your dressing room with a variety of styles for your clothes and weapons.”

Scavengers Studio stresses that “these items are for looking good; only skill helps you win.” Since we last checked in, game updates have added support for duos, private matches, and a glider.

Darwin Project is Free to Play on Xbox One Starting July 4 [Xbox]
