Crysis 2 gets March 22 release date

Crytek has confirmed that its upcoming first-person shooter, Crysis 2, will ship to North American retailer shelves on March 22, 2011. Europeans hang tight — you’ll have to wait three days for the game, which will be available on March 25.

Crysis 2 was originally set to ship to stores this fall, but pushed out of the holiday season and into 2011 earlier this month. You’ll be able to play it in 3D, Crytek thinks it’s the best looking game ever, and it’s going to be really, really emotional.

It’s out for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, as well as PC, so console gamers won’t have to miss out on enhanced battle suit action.
