It’s easy to forget January 2021

In a bid to show us just how active the popular Nintendo platform was this year, a community member crafted an infographic for the Switch in 2021.

Created by ieatdragonz, this comprehensive behemoth of an infographic showcases all of the major releases this year for the Switch, dating back to January. You know, that month that’s super easy to forget! Like that one year (2018) Dragon Ball FighterZ came out in January.

It’s a trip down memory lane, and it’s even color-coded by first-party, Switch exclusive, version exclusive, and console exclusive to get a better look at how many unique experiences the system had.

A few highlights? I totally forgot that Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury came out in February. It felt like I just reviewed it! Nintendo could be working on Mario 3D World 2 by now.

A lot of other big “Switch in 2021” moments jump out too, like Monster Hunter Rise in March, which I do remember (because it’s not January!), because everyone has been talking about it all year. Then there’s Pokemon Snap in late April, which rang in the middle of the year before E3, as well as the surprise dual release of Famicom Detective Club.

In all, it’s been a fun year. Of course, Metroid Dread had to take the top spot for 2021.
