From here on out, saying “Command and Conquer 4” simply won’t cut it. EA Los Angeles has announced that it’s now officially called — hear that? it’s a drum roll — Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight

Chosen from over 15,000 fans’ submissions, the Tiberian Twilight choice has nothing to do with Stephanie Meyer’s popular Twilight novels. (OMG, dreamy vampires!) The name is the perfect fit, says the game’s lead producer Mike Glosecki.

“We were blown away by all the creative names they came up with,” he explains, “but the most popular selection, Tiberian Twilight, seemed the best fit, embodying that the saga is coming to a powerful and epic conclusion.”

That “power and epic conclusion” is scheduled for sometime in 2010, when Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight hits shelves for PC.
