The Dynasty mode in College Football 27 has received some interesting updates, but mastering recruitment would once again boil down to finding Green Diamonds and avoid the red ones. The system involving them remains intact, but it can be confusing if you’re new to the series.

This guide will explain how both systems work.

What are Red Diamonds in College Football 27

Red Diamonds are talents you will want to avoid at all costs. If you scout an athlete, and he is a Red Diamond, it means that his star-rating is wrong. His actual star-rating (that determines his relative quality with other prospects) is one less star than what it is.

In simple words, a four-star rated prospect is actually a three-star if he is a Red Diamond. Hence, they’re just a diamond by name. Additionally, these athletes also have high chance of having one or more negative traits. Even their hidden trait can be a negative one if you’re not careful enough.

What are Green Diamonds in College Football 27

Green Diamonds are the true gems that you can unearth from recruitment. These are stars who have better attributes than what the star rating suggests. A Green Diamond with three-star rating will have abilities of a four-star rated athlete and so on.

Similarly, they will also have higher chances of having better traits and abilities. However, some of these hidden gems will have higher requirements when it comes to joining your program. However, you can still get them in with the help of some sound recruitment practices.
