Call of Duty’s Warzone is once again getting refreshed, this time to coincide with season one of Modern Warfare 4 this week.
Starting on Nov. 6, the new Hajin map from DMZ and MW4’s campaign will make its way to Warzone as a new battle royale experience, becoming the seventh different large-scale map to play home to the last-player-standing mode since the game launched in 2020.

The same locations found within Hajin in DMZ are on display here, bringing forth a new Gulag location and even the Korean-themed locale’s dynamic weather. The map will also include MW4’s weapons and mechanics, such as the ability to drag downed allies, and the new game’s weapons will now be the main loot pool for BR and Resurgence. Needless to say, those who’ve been playing MW4 since launch will be at an advantage out of the gate when it comes to crafting loadouts.
All weapons from Modern Warfare 2 (2022) through Black Ops 7 (2025) will be usable in Warzone, but they cannot be edited in the Gunsmith, so they are basically defunct. But many cosmetics like operators, operator skins, finishing moves, emblems, etc. will still be available in Warzone for season one of MW4.
New MW4 gameplay features in Warzone include a Zipline Launcher field upgrade to reach new heights, a rebalancing of Perks to equip into your loadouts, and a slew of new equipment like all of MW4’s killstreaks and more. And this is all in addition to new content coming for MW4 multiplayer and DMZ as well.
As for the respawn-enabled Resurgence, the new map Zodiac will also become the main attraction after appearing earlier this year as part of MW4’s beta. But if you’re in the mood for some classics, then you’re in luck, because both Verdansk and Rebirth Island will return to Warzone at some point mid-season for BR and Resurgence, respectively.
