How to complete Chapter 9: How to Meet a Best Friend (Again) in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You’ll begin this quest right after completing Chapter 8: The Little Big Forest. It starts off in the same place the previous mission began, with you and the Winnie the Pooh trio in front of Braveheart Grove’s Everoak Tree entrance. The four of you notice that the colors from a nearby drawing have disappeared, prompting you to run off and search for them.
Look around the Grove to find the missing paints
After the four of you discuss the drawing, your first task will be to look around the Grove to find the missing paints. Starting from the southern end of the river, walk north along it until you find a new objective to talk to Piglet. He’ll reveal that he found some pink paint for you to bring back to the Everoak Tree.
Once you bring the pink paint back, however, you’ll realize it isn’t enough. You’ll need to find more paint throughout Braveheart Grove to unlock the tree’s entrance.
Follow the paint trail to catch the paint thief
Your next goal is to follow the trails of dark blue paint around Braveheart Grove. You’ll find the first two near the bridge connecting the biome to the Everoak Tree, with the rest scattered around the region. The trail will loop around until it reaches Piglet’s House.

As you enter Piglet’s House, you’ll find Eeyore, who mentions that he just has some blue paint on his tail. He also gives you blue paint to bring to the Everoak Tree.
Take pictures of the places Winnie the Pooh visited
After using the blue paint on the Everoak Tree drawing and talking to Piglet, you’ll need to search for Winnie the Pooh and find out what he knows. He retraces his steps and describes areas he visited recently, making your next task to take pictures of all three locations.
You’ll need to travel to the following spots
- A big waterfall with acorns near Piglet’s House.
- A sturdy bridge where you first played Pooh Sticks.
- A broken bridge between Drowsybloom Acre and Braveheart Grove.
The trickiest part of this task is getting the right angles for each point of interest, especially for the broken bridge. The images below show the three angles I chose when completing this quest.

After taking all three pictures, return to Pooh Bear and show him the photos. He remembers something important and runs towards the broken bridge. He asks if we can repair the bridge so he and Piglet can have a shortcut to visit each other.
Gather materials to repair the Shortcut Bridge
You’ll need the following materials to repair the Shortcut Bridge:
- Tree Resin (10)
- Driftwood (10)
- Soft Limestone (10)
- Golden Honey (5)
Once you have all four materials, return to Winnie the Pooh to receive a Bridge Repair Kit. Go back to Braveheart Grove and interact with the orange bridge sign to repair the bridge using the resources you collected. You won’t find this sign on the Drowsybloom Acre side of the bridge.
You now have a quick shortcut to accessing Braveheart Grove from Drowsybloom Acre and vice versa. Talk to Piglet, Eeyore, and Pooh Bear to receive yellow paint for the Everoak Tree drawing. Piglet will also officially join your village, marking the end of Chapter 9: How to Meet a Best Friend (Again) and the beginning of Interlude 3: The Shadowy Surprise.
