We’ve officially met Eeyore as part of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Honeyglow Woods main storyline. While we found a tail for him in the previous quest, he still seems gloomy, leading us to start the Chapter 5: The Big Red Monster quest.

How to complete Chapter 5: The Big Red Monster in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Upon asking Eeyore about his gloomy demeanor, he reveals that the flowers within Gloommeadow are still dried up because the river was blocked during Chapter 4: A Tail Tale.
Craft a Storybook Sword and Heroic Helmet
While talking to Eeyore, he mentions the existence of a big red monster in the Everoak Tree. Wanting to tackle this mystery, we come up with the idea of crafting a Storybook Sword and Heroic Helmet. You’ll need the following materials for both items:
- Four Hardwood
- 10 Tree Resin
- 10 Soft Limestone
- Three Rose & Cream Foxglove
- Five Driftwood
- Two Honey Agate
- Eight Sweet Chestnut
All of these materials are available in both Drowsybloom Acre and Gloommeadow. Hardwood spawns under trees, while Soft Limestone and Honey Agate drop from dark mining spots. You’ll also find Tree Resin by digging in the ground, while Driftwood drops from tree stumps. Lastly are Rose & Cream Foxglove and Sweet Chestnut, which you can forage from the ground and out of trees, respectively.
After acquiring every required material, head to any crafting station in either biome to make your Storybook Sword and Heroic Helmet before returning to Eeyore. The two of you will run towards a wall of fog before he admits he’s too scared to go further. Understanding his fear, you offer to go in by yourself.
Along the way, you’ll find some Fog Dust by interacting with sparkles near the wall. Tell Eeyore about the dust before discussing your next plan of action. You decide to cook up a fog-busting potion to prepare for your next attempt.
Cook the Fog-Busting Potion
Before you can venture further into the fog, you’ll need to cook a Fog-Busting Potion. Below are the ingredients you need to make it:
- Juniper Berries
- Golden Pattypan
- Plush Fish
- Truffle
Each ingredient has different methods of obtaining it. Juniper berries spawn on bushes in Gloommeadow, while Golden Pattypan is a crop you can purchase seeds for in Drowsybloom Acre. Each Golden Pattypan takes 20 minutes to grow. Truffles are the easiest item to find, appearing as a wild herb throughout both biomes.
Plush Fish are the trickiest to find, spawning exclusively in orange ripples in any Honeyglow Woods water. If you can’t find any orange ripples, fish in blue and white ones until an orange one randomly spawns in the area. Fishing in this spot will net you a Plush Fish for the recipe.
Once you have all four items, go to any cooking station and make the potion before returning to Eeyore. Talk to him and Pooh Bear before using the potion in your inventory. Your watering can is now upgraded enough to pierce the fog blocking access to a small area in the bottom-right corner of Gloommeadow.
Finding the Big Red Monster
After unlocking and entering this area, you’ll discover the big red monster in a tree. Tell Pooh Bear about it before clearing away the tree branches on the ground and picking up the blue clothing pouch. Opening it reveals that these are big red pajamas that you can wear.
Return to Eeyore while wearing the big red pajamas to finish the Chapter 5: The Big Red Monster quest, leading directly into Chapter 6: A Place for Eeyore.
