Catherine shows off pictures of ‘Katherine’, scary hands

Hey! Remember Catherine, the awesomely sexy new game from Atlus and the people who made Persona? Yeah, that one! With the trailer!

Well, Famitsu has new screenshots and details for you to devour with your eyes, which include pictures of scary hands holding forks, scary lady monsters with kitchen knives, cutscene captures (both animated and what looks like in-engine rendered), and character art for Vincent, Catherine, and Katherine.

Nope, that third name wasn’t a typo, but a new character, “Katherine” (the lady in the header pic). Katherine is apparently Vincent’s 32-year-old girlfriend and former high school flame. She has long hair, half-rim glasses, and is voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi, who also played Misato in Neon Genesis Evangelion. Katherine also knows how much sugar Vincent takes in his coffee, and might be pregnant. And if you paid attention to our previous coverage, she’s the lady who screams “I’ll never forgive you!” at the end of the trailer. Eek!

Other info from Famitsu‘s preview notes that the game will have multiple endings, and allow you to live out Vincent’s daily life. The official site has been updated with some art featuring flying, well-dressed sheep, and a big tower. Sounds like the sort of game that would come from team Persona! The blog also promises a presence at the Tokyo Game Show.

I hereby order you to start getting excited for this game. To help that along I’ll give you a point for speculation. Look at the Catherine logo. It shows two ladies, one looking like the blond sexpot we saw previously, and one looking like…a bespectacled, long-haired lady. What could it mean?!
